I am currently writing reflections and have become stumped on how to link one in particular to any literature.
A boy is non verbal but with support of his parents we taught him a few basic signs to support communication. My question is... Does anyone know of any books or text's that can link to this and help me finish this reflection?

A reply from Tess Mason "If you haven’t already, look into makaton. It’s a simplified version of sigh language that very young children can use too, so if there is a disorder/delay it may encourage communicating needs? Communicating needs is also naturally reinforced if these needs are met. So for instance, I wouldn’t start with “how are you?” but rather food/hungry, yes/no, thirsty/water".
